Free Healthcare

Wellness with lifestyle and nutrition is basically free to many people because healthy lifestyle and plant-based nutrition creates wellness and prevents or reverses health challenges. However unhealthy nutrition and lifestyle creates chronic health challenges. The current popular expensive high fat animal protein fad diet is linked to obesity, diabetes, heart disease, cancer, and kidney disease. Human beings are designed to live on fruits, vegetables, seeds, sprouted grains and legumes. Also Personal Injury Protection (PIP) and liability is available on most auto insurance and most homes and public places have liability insurance in case of accidental injury and there are crowd-source funding and personal injury litigation options.

Parrots

I went with my friend, George Sommers, author of I SAW WILD PARROTS IN NEW YORK CITY!, Yellow Bird, and Papita to The Parrot Society of New England’s “Spring Is In The Air” Bird Behavior and Toy Rehab Seminar in Manchester, NH. The workshop by Robin Shewokis and Concetta DellaRocco Ferragamo included parrot care, training, Q&A, and a mock training session I was volunteered into as the “trainer” of another woman as the “parrot”. In attendance were many beautiful parrots and people including the talented artist, Jill Casteel, with her beautiful artwork. I took a few photos with my camera until the battery died and more with my cell phone which I will “upload” later. The macaw below would fluff it’s wings every time I said, “You’re so pretty.” Afterwards we watched a fun DVD that came with the book, Snowball The Dancing Cockatoo, on his portable DVD player on the lawn while Yellow Bird and Papita chirped contentedly together in their love nest.

Apparently the natural habitat of these lovely exotic animals and their human friends is being rapidly destroyed by “Big-Agri-Biz” to graze cattle which seems an inefficient, uneconomical, and unsustainable use of natural resources because the Amazon Rainforest produces most of the oxygen we need and fruits, veggies, and seeds contain all the nutrients we need including carbohydrates, essential amino acids, essential fatty acids, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants (prevent and reverse cancer), fiber, enzymes, and phyto-nutrients to build natural wellness and prevent costly health care crisis. See Earth and AURAw.com. Thank you.

Pam Popper & Melanie Joy

Dr. Pam Popper’s newest book, Solving America’s Healthcare Crisis, goes beyond diet advice and covers myths about protein, supplementation, the role of genes, and other related issues. Information about how nutrition affects many different conditions and stories of people who have regained their health with diet are included, along with details about issues like public policy, school food, and how to reduce the financial burden of health care for employers. This book is a blueprint for how to save the country billions of dollars in unnecessary costs per year and help Americans to improve their quality of life through optimal health. At Dr. Pam Poppers talk, I learned a cool natural wellness tip: “Every hour slept before midnight is like two hours of sleep.” So for example if I sleep from 9pm til 2am that is like getting 8 hours of sleep! Wow! :) She also said that there is a very high percentage of false positives in cancer screenings and overall a very low cancer cure rate from medical doctors but they manipulate the figures to make it sound better. She says to eat fruits and veggies to manage disease. :)

In Why We Love Dogs, Eat Pigs, and Wear Cows: An Introduction to Carnism social psychologist, Dr. Melanie Joy, offers an absorbing look at why and how humans can so wholeheartedly devote ourselves to certain animals and then allow others to suffer needlessly, especially those slaughtered for our consumption. She explores the many ways we numb ourselves and disconnect from our natural empathy for farmed animals. She coins the term “carnism” to describe the belief system that has conditioned us to eat certain animals and not others. Joy investigates factory farming, exposing how cruelly the animals are treated, the hazards that meatpacking workers face, and the environmental impact of raising 10 billion animals for food each year. Controversial and challenging, this book will change the way you think about food forever.

I had the pleasure of seeing the bright and beautiful Dr. Pam Popper, PhD, ND and Dr. Melanie Joy, PhD, EdM speak at The Boston Vegetarian Food Festival on Sun., Oct 28, 2012, at the Reggie Lewis Athletic Center, 1350 Tremont Street, Boston, MA. Water

WATERWater: For Health, for Healing, for Life: You’re Not Sick, You’re Thirsty! The author, Dr. F. Batmanghelidj, not only believes that drinking water is healthy, but claims it has curative powers. According to Batmanghelidj, most people are seriously dehydrated. He says that symptoms like fatigue, anxiety, or depression indicate dehydration, which may result in serious conditions such as asthma, heart disease, brain damage, cancer, constipation, allergies, obesity, and diabetes. In order to compensate for fluid lost through urination, respiration, and perspiration, Batmanghelidj suggests drinking a minimum of two quarts of plain water daily (not alcohol, caffeine beverages or juices). In addition, a diet consisting of a minimum of 80% fruits and vegetables should be followed along with an exercise program. The author presents a wealth of medical data as well as patient anecdotes that testify to water as a cure for various diseases.

My friend recently asked my opinion of an expensive water-alkalizing machine. I think all water is alkalizing because it neutralizes acidic residues left in the body from consuming cooked foods especially animal flesh. I do use a whole house water filter on my well and a water pitcher filter shown below. For reference I also added some inexpensive “water-alkalizers” that I have not used personally.

Back Injury

While trying to lift a very heavy object, I heard a loud “pop” in my back, felt pain, and yelled, “Ow, ow, ow!” My neighbors who are chiropractors heard me yell and ran over to my aid within seconds! They examined me and gave me advice for treatment and stretching exercise. I have been using a ThermiPAQ Clay Therapy Hot/Cold Pain Relief Wrap, a Mueller Sport Care Adjustable Back Brace, breathing exercises, stretching, yoga child-pose and twists, eating lots of raw spinach for healing alkalinity as recommended by David Wolfe in The Sunfood Diet Success System and have improved quickly. My friend and personal trainer, Pete Cerqua, said it’s a hyper-extension injury and told me an exercise to do and my friend/personal trainer, Noel Vegan Fitness Star, had given me exercises. I am blessed and very thankful for all the help and quick recovery! :)

528Hz Love Frequency

Unisonic Ascension Love Signal 528 Hz (Theta binaural beats 6 Hz)

Spirit of Healing Isochronic Alpha & Solfeggio 528hz Healing Meditations CD

This is such a beautiful CD! Each track is of sufficient time for a quick meditation and together, they total a few minutes short of one hour. This CD would be great for any type of relaxation, for alternative healing therapies, or even for just drifting off to sleep. If you feel energy, the vibration in this CD feels AWESOME. No vocals. No guided meditation. Just nature sounds enhanced with music vibrations (which I prefer.) Tracks run together, probably so as not to distract you when meditating.

If you are curious about Isochronic Alpha Tones, they are defined as a form of brain wave entrainment. This means that you use the tones as a way to get your brain waves to slow down and all work together.

And if you are equally curious about the ancient Solfeggio Frequencies, they were specific tones, used in ancient Gregorian Chants. It was believed that these frequencies provided tremendous spiritual blessings when sung in harmony during religious masses. (For more info, you may want to research Dr. Leonard Horowitz or check out some of the later Jonathan Goldman CDs, such as Holy Harmony.) The 528 Hz Frequency is said to aid in transformation, miracles, and DNA repair. (Pretty fascinating stuff.)

Track 1 – Angelic Forest — 13:43

Very peaceful–I hear the sounds of lots of birds singing, like they do early in the morning, when it is still dark and the sun is about to rise. I hear water, like a stream trickling and bubbling over stones. You can almost smell the green grass and trees, damp from the morning dew. In the background are light, sweet sustained electronic keyboard sounds. Every so often, vibrational sounds are introduced but are so well blended in that you probably will not hear them.

Track 2 – Ocean Blessings – 13:49

Very peaceful–I hear the ocean surf rolling up onto the beach throughout the entire track. There are birds singing and light, sweet sustained electronic keyboard sounds throughout the track. Occassionally, I hear another sound that could either be a dolphin or a bird. Vibrational sounds are well blended.

Track 3 – Spirit Dreaming – 13:26

Very peaceful and a very slight bit more up-tempo. The electronic sounds kind of roll, as if they were traveling in a circle and the sounds move from very light to a little more intense, then back to light, and so on. The birds are still chirping away. There is a very light middle-Eastern string instrument sound in the background but I believe it is through the keyboard.

Track 4 – Night of the Ancients – 13:53

Very peaceful with soft rolling thunder plus soft sweet electronic keyboard. The keyboard sounds like a flute at times. I picture myself in a place such as Macchu Picchu, standing in front of an ancient temple, picturing a civilization of long ago. I can almost see them through the veil and can almost hear their chants. I also hear birds and nature sounds around me, including a little bit of rain and some frogs or crickets. The thunder actually starts to get slightly louder after 8 minutes (which means there are about 6 minutes to go on the CD), but again, it is very peaceful.

If you have a Reiki, Acupuncture, Massage Therapy, or similar practice, I think you will want to add this CD to your collection. It is wonderful!

Wild Edible Cherries

Cherries contain anthocyanins, nature’s pain reliever, and melatonin, another natural pain reliever that also helps regulate the sleep cycle! Anthocyanins are also used by the body to help produce amino acids which are used to produce protein. Cherries also contain fiber and lots of Vitamin C, an antioxidant, with anti-cancer properties. Wow! My favorite cherries are wild black cherries that fall into my yard from my neighbor’s wild cherry tree.
