Mental Wellness

Steps I take for mental wellness include: hydration, nutrition, exercise, forgiveness, gratitude, mantras, and follow my passion. I hydrate and nourish with raw fruits, fruit smoothies, water, carob-drinks, juices, vegetables, seeds, nuts, vegan soups, grains, and legumes. Exercising my body helps my brain work better and gives me energy. I prefer to exercise by working (ie: housework, gardening, home-repair, bicycling to grocer, etc) or just having fun (ie: walk, swim, canoe, pedal-boat, yoga, dance, sing, play ukulele, read, write, play solitaire, etc.) I forgive past insults or abuse knowing that the source was not well and I pray they are blessed with healing and love. I train my mind to quickly switch to a positive thought from a negative thought. I focus on solutions and my “mantras” include: “I am earth, sun, air, water, fruit, life, joy, love, peace, power, wise, creative, eternal, universe.” I do what makes me happy and happiness brings more happiness. I believe in one “conspiracy theory” which is like this, “When I try, the universe conspires to help me.” Best always, Mara
