Cherries contain anthocyanins, nature’s pain reliever, and melatonin, another natural pain reliever that also helps regulate the sleep cycle! Anthocyanins are also used by the body to help produce amino acids which are used to produce protein. Cherries also contain fiber and lots of Vitamin C, an antioxidant, with anti-cancer properties. Wow! My favorite cherries are wild black chokecherries that fall into my yard from my neighbor’s wild black chokecherry tree.
Update: My neighbor cut down her wild black chokecherry tree that dropped wild cherries into my yard. It seems most people just don’t know what matters in life.
Update: I planted three sand-cherry bushes in my yard and may plant two more.
